What Swoof is

Swoof (swoof.es) is a free platform that helps neighbors exchange dog sitting. Instead of paying money, users earn and spend credits: you earn a credit when you watch someone's dog, and you spend a credit when someone watches yours. No real money is ever involved.

Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Swoof.
• You should have a dog you need help with, or be willing to help neighbors with their dogs.
• You must provide accurate information in your profile.

Your responsibilities

By using Swoof, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information about yourself and your dogs.
• Treat other users with respect and communicate clearly about dog sitting arrangements.
• Take responsible care of any dog you agree to watch — including providing water, shelter, exercise, and supervision.
• Not use the platform for any illegal or harmful purposes.
• Not harass, spam, or misuse the messaging system.
• Ensure your dog is safe to be around others and disclose any behavioral issues, health conditions, or special needs in your dog's profile.

The credit system

Swoof uses a credit system to keep exchanges fair. Credits are not a currency and have no monetary value. You cannot buy, sell, or transfer credits outside of the platform. Credits exist solely to facilitate fair exchanges between users.

New users start with a small number of credits to get started. You earn credits by watching other users' dogs and spend them when someone watches yours.

Your content

You own all content you upload to Swoof (photos, messages, profile information, reviews). By posting content on Swoof, you grant us a limited license to display it within the platform — for example, to show your profile to nearby neighbors or display your reviews.

We will never use your content for advertising or share it outside the platform. When you delete your account, your content is permanently removed.

Liability disclaimer

Swoof is a platform that connects neighbors. We do not employ dog sitters, and we are not a party to any dog sitting arrangement between users.

We are not responsible for:

• The quality, safety, or outcome of any dog sitting exchange.
• Any injury, damage, or loss that occurs during a dog sitting arrangement.
• The behavior, reliability, or honesty of other users.
• Any disputes between users.

Users participate in dog sitting exchanges at their own risk. We strongly encourage you to meet your neighbor in person before arranging a swoof, communicate clearly about expectations, and start with short sitting sessions.

Service availability

Swoof is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do our best to keep the service running smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

Account termination

You can delete your account at any time. When you do, all your personal data, dogs, messages, and swoof history will be permanently removed.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, harass other users, or misuse the platform.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through the app. By continuing to use Swoof after changes are posted, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising from the use of Swoof will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Spain.
